Dr. Outdoors Compress Men’s Short Sleeve

D.R.Outdoors Active Compression wear product line made with Cocona fabrics is made to fit snug. It's the compress fit that helps your body?s natural blood circulation, reduces muscle vibration and muscle fatigue and helps in the recovery time of your muscles after a strenuous workout. Our Active compress wear is made from a mid weight Cocona fabric providing evaporative cooling, superior to any other product available. The garment rapidly pulls moisture away from the skin and spreads it across the fabric surface to increase the evaporation rate and speed up dry time. By eliminating moisture in the garment, you stay warmer in the cold and cooler in the heat. Can be worn as a base layer or by itself.

GEAR REVIEW

Dr. Outdoors Compress Men’s Short Sleeve

-Submitted By: Chris Smith of Bend, OR

Q: What type of outdoor activities do you normally participate in?
A: Anything outdoors-in summer I like to hike, bike, camp, fish, rock climb, ride horses, Canoe, geocache, backpack, mountaineering, wilderness survival etc. In winter, I like to ski, snowshoe, hunt, camp, and a lot of the same activities I do in the summer.

Q: What do you normally wear during these outdoor activities? (ie. cotton T-shirt)
A: Anything from jeans and short or long sleeve shirt and a hat to extreme cold weather gear like snow pants and parkas and either a balaclava or beanie type hat. The type of footwear I use ranges from tennis shoes or outdoor sandals to hiking or hunting boots.

Q: Was the Compress short sleeve a snug and comfortable fit?
A: The shirt was extremely comfortable and soft. I liked it so much that I wore it around the house when not exercising.

Q: Was the shirt lightweight?
A: Very much so. You almost forget it’s there.

Q: Did your body temperature remain cool while wearing the shirt?
A: Actually, as it’s winter here, it helped to avoid getting the chills while riding due to its’ moisture management capabilities.

Q: Did you find that the fabric quickly pulled moisture away from the skin?
A: It did. I sweat quite a bit with substantial physical activity and it was nice, in the cold weather, to have the perspiration pulled away from my body to avoid getting the chills.

Q: Did you wear anything over the shirt?
A: Yes, a sweat shirt to help contain my body heat.

Q: How did the material feel when you were wearing the shirt?
A: It feels like silk, extremely light and soft, but much more breathable than silk. It makes a great undershirt in addition to an exercise shirt because it’s not bulky and because of its’ scent absorbing qualities. The activated carbon is an amazing thing.

Q: Did you like the overall design / color of the shirt?
A: Yes I did. It was very comfortable to wear and the color scheme was very sporty.

Q: What other colors would you like this shirt to be available in?
A: Red, black, emerald green, and maybe even a combination of those colors. I also like a black/blue combination.

Q: Was the shirt easy to wash/dry and take care of?
A: Yes it was, although you have to remember to use unscented detergent with the activated carbon or else you’ll smell like a flower while riding the trails with your buddies.

Q: Would you recommend this product to other outdoor enthusiasts? Why?
A: It’s one of the most comfortable pieces of athletic clothing I’ve tried in a while. It’s attractive and has great features such as it’s moisture wicking ability and scent absorbing capability.
