Jennings Ferry is nestled on Warrior Lake, just outside of Eutaw, AL. This location is only 36 miles south of Tuscaloosa and approximately 30 miles north of Demopolis.
The Setting
Bird watching is extremely exciting at Jennings Ferry as a wide variety of birds fill the area. On occasion, one might also see the majestic Bald Eagle and the great Osprey fishing in the Black Warrior River. Other wildlife such as White-tailed deer and Eastern wild turkey may wander throughout the campground, making a stay here at Jennings Ferry an unforgettable walk alongside nature.
Warrior Lake was created by the damming of the Black Warrior River. Warrior Lake has a surface area of 7,800 acres and a length of 77 miles. Armistead I. Selden Lock and Dam was completed in 1962. The completion of the Armistead I. Selden Lock and Dam left room for a camping area to service the outdoor needs of West Central Alabama, thus Jennings Ferry was constructed. Jennings Ferry was recently renovated from a primitive camping area and boat ramp to the 52 site campground complete with 50-amp service and water at each campsite.
