Relax under Magnificent Cypress Trees and Ancient Oaks at Leroy Percy State Park.
The Setting
Highlighted by artesian springs, majestic cypress trees and ancient oaks dripping with Spanish moss, Leroy Percy State Park is as visually refreshing as it is relaxing. The only Mississippi State Park with a wildlife preserve, Leroy Percy gives its guests the opportunity to experience wildlife in abundance. It isn’t uncommon for guests to encounter wild turkey and whitetail deer on the park’s many well-kept nature trails. For a real walk on the “wild” side, guests can observe the park’s famous alligator population from the safety of two observation towers.
The Facility
In addition to natural beauty and plentiful wildlife, Leroy Percy State Park boasts a visitor’s center with fast-food service and a Sunday buffet, a group camp for 50 persons, swimming, hot showers, and more. There are also 16 sites available for RV camping equipped with water and electrical hook-ups. Leroy Percy features eight family cabins near Alligator Lake, providing a comfortable retreat for vacationers.
