The Setting
This 863-acre state park in Western Kentucky is known for its beautiful wooded areas. The park has a 69-site campground, lodge, restaurant, cabins and several hiking trails. The park is located in the middle of Pennyrile State Forest, which covers 14,648 acres and can also be used for hiking and picnicking. The state park also has a small lake for fishing and boating, an 18-hole golf course and a mini-golf course. There is also daily summer recreational and nature programming at the state park.
The Facility
The campground has many shady sites, and all of them have water and electric hookups, tables, fire rings and a campground dump station. There is also a service building with showers, restrooms and laundry.
