Persimmon Hill Campground, Top 100 Campground winners for 4 years, offers breathtaking views of the lake, paved bicycle and walking trail, basketball court and abundant wildlife.
The Setting
Persimmon Hill is located in a mixture of hardwood and pine trees. Persimmon Trees, which provide the name for the area, are located at the entrance to the area. Fruit trees are located in the campground near the nature trail. Animals observed in this area include deer, rabbits, racoons, squirrels, foxes, butterflies, and different species of birds including the turkey and bald eagle.

Park Features
Many sites are located at edge of lake.15 different types of trees, one of which is the Persimmon Tree (Campground is named after this tree).Over 25 different types of plants.
Camping Tips
Length of stay allowed is 14 consecutive days or an accumulative total of 14 days (without an absence of 16 days); a camper and equipment must change campgrounds but may return to Persimmon Hill after 16 days. All pets must be on a leash.Trail guide pamphlets providing information on tree and plant species is available at trail entrance.
