Dogs are allowed in Louisiana state parks but not permitted in overnight facilities, near swimming areas or inside any park buildings.

SPECIAL EVENTS

LOUISIANA
School Day at Winter Quarters SHS
5/7 1PM – 3PM
Participants can sign in and be divided into appropriate age groups to attempt both long distance and accuracy spear throws with the atl-atl. Lacrosse may also be played along with the atl-atl contest.

Music on the River Concert at Plaquemine Lock SHS
5/17 – 5/18 7PM – 9PM
Enjoy an evening concert at the Lock featuring the many different styles of music found on the Mississippi River.

Tracking Food at Poverty Point SHS
6/7 10AM – 2PM
Visitors will learn that with greater attention to detail, they can become more aware of animal signs, animal lifestyles and animals in general.
