Park: Inks Lake State Park
Absolutely the best state park in Texas. The scenery, the shelters, the fishing, the hiking, the biking, and the way the fingers of the lake intertwine in through the park make it a great place for tent camping with water access everywhere. Highly recommended.

Park: Tyler State Park
Tyler State Park is one that is close and most beautifulState Parks around! They have interpretive programs, hiking areas, paddle boats and hills with the tallest Loblolly pines! If you mountain bike, or just like to kick back and float a bobber, this place is for you!

Hoodoo Full Moon Hike at Barton Warnock Environmental Education Center
5/18 8PM – 10:45PM
Join Park Rangers on a one-hour one mile hike along the Rio Grande. We will talk about nocturnal wildlife of the Chihuahuan Desert and maybe a few ghost stories as we walk through the hoodoo formations.

Crimestoppers Band Concert at Martin Dies, Jr. SP

Listen to this group made up of local police officers from the Lufkin area as they provide live music including country, rock and roll, swing, blues and jazz.

Full Moon Fish at Blanco SP
6/18 7:30 – 9:30PM
Come fishing as evening falls and the full moon rises. Learn from experienced instructors about river habitat at night and how to make the most of it for great fishing.
